2025 Construction Program
The road construction program for Essex County in 2025 totals $98,119,210.
The 2025 program has seven key areas:
- Capacity expansion – $67,604,780
- Rehabilitation – $23,615,230
- Traffic operations – $710,600
- Municipal drainage – $800,000
- Planning and engineering – $197,600
- CWATS (active transportation) – $4,900,000
- Equipment and software – $291,000

Road rehabilitation program
The 2025 Road Rehabilitation Program, at an estimated cost of $23.6 million, includes 13 road rehabilitation projects, two bridge rehabilitation projects and three culvert rehabilitation projects.

- Batten Sideroad Drain culvert on County Road 12 in Essex
- Sancrainte Drain culvert on County Road 20 in Amherstburg

- County Road 2 from County Road 35 to County Road 37 in Lakeshore
- County Road 8 from Cameron Sideroad to County Road 27 in Essex and Lakeshore
- County Road 8 from Walker Sideroad to County Road 15 in Essex and Tecumseh
- County Road 18 from McCain Sideroad to County Road 29 in Kingsville
- County Road 20 from County Road 3 to the River Canard Bridge in Amherstburg
- County Road 20 from County Road 23 to McCain Sideroad in Kingsville
- County Road 27 from municipal No. 2678 to 350 metres north of County Road 8 in Lakeshore
- County Road 34 from Wilson Sideroad to Essex town limit in Lakeshore
- County Road 31 from County Road 42 to Highway 401 in Lakeshore
- County Road 37 from County Road 42 to County Road 2 in Lakeshore
- County Road 42 from County Road 31 to Rochester Townline Road in Lakeshore
- County Road 46 from Webster Road to Concession 8 in Tecumseh
- County Road 50 from Park Street to Bell Road in Essex

County crews maintain a safe and reliable network of roads. Their work includes:
