2023-04-05 Essex County Council Meeting Notice

There will be a series of meetings of Essex County Council held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

As permitted under By-law 2022-31, being a by-law to provide rules governing the order and proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex, adopted on October 19, 2022, the meeting will take place with members of County Council in person at the Essex County Civic Centre. The meeting can also be watched live, in real time, as the County will be Live streaming proceedings via the County Website.

At 1:30 PM, Essex County Council will hold a Closed meeting at 1:30 PM pursuant to Section 239 (2) (b) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended for the following reason:

(b) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;

At 5:00 PM, Essex County Council will hold a statutory public meeting, pursuant to Section 26(3) of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, as amended, for the purposes of discussing the proposed new Official Plan. The agenda for this meeting is available for viewing or download on the County website at Special Meeting Agenda for April 5, 2023.

At 6:00 PM, Essex County Council will hold a Regular meeting of Council. The agenda for this meeting is available for viewing or download on the County website at Regular Meeting Agenda for April 5, 2023.

A second Closed meeting will take place at 8:00 PM or immediately following the Regular Council Meeting business. Council will meet in Closed Session, pursuant to Section 239 (2) (d) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended for the following reason:

(d) labour relations or employee negotiations;
