COVID-19 Vaccines Available at Leamington Pop-up Event July 7-9
Need to get your first or second COVID-19 vaccination or know someone who does? There’s a pop-up clinic this week in Leamington open to all eligible age groups.
It’s being held in the parking lot at 33 Princess St. Look for the large tents. The hours at noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
There will be Moderna COVID-19 vaccine available for first and second doses for those 18 years and older. Second doses can be administered 28 days after a Pfizer or Moderna shot, and eight weeks after an AstraZeneca shot.
Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will be available for first and second doses for those 12 to 17 years old. A second dose can be given 28 days after the first Pfizer dose.
An OHIP card is not required and all the services at the pop-up event are free. Water and snacks will be provided.
Other information and supports will also be available. These include masks and sanitizer kits, COVID-19 testing, staying safe and protecting your family, safe and designated self-isolation centres, social check-ins, virtual group programs and more.
The pop-up event is being run by the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, Essex-Windsor EMS, Erie Shores Healthcare, the Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor-Essex County branch, the Windsor Essex Community Health Centre and the City of Windsor.
