Essex County Construction and Road Closures Update – April 28, 2023

Construction is ongoing on County Road 42 between Banwell Road and Manning Road, as well as in the surrounding area. Please use caution and obey all flag persons and construction signage. Also, note the following upcoming temporary road closures:

• County Road 42 will be closed in both directions between Manning Road (County Road 19) and Lakeshore Road 101 from May 2 to May 11 for road construction.
• The intersection of County Road 42 and Manning Road will be closed in all directions from May 11 to May 16 for road construction.

Asphalt paving is scheduled to begin in late May. Please use caution and obey all flag persons and construction signage and posted detour routes in these areas.

Bridge and culvert construction is scheduled to begin in late May. Please use caution and obey all flag persons, construction signage and posted detour routes in these areas.

Please exercise patience with the line painting operations. Be prepared to drive slowly and do not drive over the wet paint to prevent damage to your vehicle.
