Essex County Construction and Road Closures Update – Dec. 6, 2024

County Road 31 will be closed between County Road 8 and County Road 14 for a culvert replacement beginning Sept. 23 for approximately 12 weeks.

The intersection of County Road 29 and Kingsville Road 5 West will be closed for a culvert replacement beginning Nov. 11 for approximately six weeks. There will be a short-term overlap with detours for Highway 3 construction by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Please follow the posted detour and refrain from using local town roads.

County Road 22 will have lane restrictions between Wallace Line Road and West Puce Road beginning Nov. 7 for Municipality of Lakeshore water main replacement. For more information please visit the Municipality of Lakeshore website.

The new County Road 42 roundabout in Tecumseh is open in all directions.

Please be patient when you encounter road line painting operations. Be prepared to drive slowly and do not drive over the wet paint to prevent damage to your vehicle.
