Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain Re-elected as Essex County Warden

December 17, 2014 will be the first regular business meeting of this term for Essex County Council.  At the Inaugural meeting held on December 10, the Mayors and Deputy Mayors of the seven municipalities in Essex County, took their Declarations of Office as County Councillors before the Honourable Mr. Justice Thomas Carey.

The election for the Warden of Essex County Council then proceeded and Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain was elected for a second consecutive term. The term of office will run from December 1, 2014 to November 30, 2018. Tom Bain also served as County Warden in 1993, when the terms of office were for 1 year.

LaSalle Mayor Ken Antaya was also elected by County Council on December 10, 2014 as the County Deputy Warden for a four year term. This is Mayor Antaya’s second consecutive term on Essex County Council.
