Ontario Student Summer Jobs Program Open for Applicants

Students in Essex County looking for summer employment are encouraged to explore opportunities being made available through the summer jobs program run by the Ontario Public Service.

The program “provides up to 5,000 students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through supervised summer employment in the Ontario Public Service.”

Jobs are available in multiple career fields ranging from Administration and Agriculture to Engineering and Information Management to Parks and Policy to Social Services and Technology. The jobs are temporary, full-time positions ranging from seven to 18 weeks between May and September.

The available positions have been posted on the Ontario Public Service Careers website and have varying application deadlines depending on job type. The first closing date is March 10 with closing dates staggered until June 1. To participate, students must apply online.
