The county has a population of 192,700 (as of 2021). It covers about 1,851 square kilometres and is located near Windsor and south of Detroit.

We are surrounded on three sides by water and enjoy an abundance of boating, hiking and fishing opportunities.

The county is made up of seven, unique lower-tier municipalities: Amherstburg, Essex, Kingsville, Lakeshore, LaSalle, Leamington, and Tecumseh.
