The 211 helpline is available 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Operators field your questions about government and community-based health and social services. It is free, confidential and available in 150 languages.

Residents can dial 2-1-1 for information on services including:

  • Food banks
  • Community Housing
  • Mental Health Services
  • Parenting assistance
  • Addictions support
  • Finding help for paying bills

 

 

What is the difference between 211, 311, 411, and 911?

  • 911 is for emergencies only
  • 411 is for finding telephone numbers
  • 311 is used by bigger municipalities to provide residents with information
  • 211 is used to provide information on health, social and government services
